Life

Hüseyin Yalın was born on 30 March 1980 in the Florya district of Istanbul. He is an only child. His father, Kamil Yalın, worked in insurance, and his mother, Figen Yalın, was a homemaker. Yalın completed his primary education at Ataköy Primary School and continued his education at Saint Michel French High School.

His interest in music began at an early age, supported by his father’s performances of Enrico Macias songs on guitar. During high school, Yalın received guitar instruction at Yurdaer Doğulu and Doğan Canku Music Schools. He completed his university education in the Economics Department at Istanbul Bilgi University, during which time he began composing his own music.

Musical Career

Yalın launched his professional music career in 2004 with the release of his first album, Ellerine Sağlık. The lead single from the album, "Zalim", quickly gained widespread attention and established his public recognition. Following the album’s release, he performed concerts in nearly 40 cities during his tour.

The song "Zalim" was reinterpreted by Albanian artist Rovena Stefa as "Zemer" and by Bulgarian artist Toni Storaro as "Greshnica". It has also been translated into Greek, Russian, Serbian, and Arabic.

His second album, Bir Bakmışsın, was released in 2005. The lead track, "Küçücüğüm", was named "Song of the Year" by POPSAV in 2005. The album was awarded a Platinum Disc by MÜYAP in 2006.

In 2007, Yalın released his third album, Her Şey Sensin, featuring songs with lyrics and music entirely written by him. The album cover was designed by graphic artist Emrah Yücel, who has also worked on Hollywood film posters. Within the first 20 days of its release, before the release of any music video, the album sold 110,000 copies, earning a place among "The Best-Selling Domestic Albums of the Year" and receiving a Platinum Disc award.

The music video for the song "Ah Be Kardeşim" from his 2009 album Ben Bugün, directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak, won the "Best Video" award at the Kral TV Video Music Awards. In 2011, he again collaborated with Ömer Faruk Sorak to produce a music video for the single "Anlat Güzel Mi Oralar".

Yalın released the albums Sen En Güzelsin in 2012, Keyfi Yolunda, Aşkı Sonunda in 2013, Yeniden and Aşk Diye in 2014, and continued his musical work with the albums Bir Bahar Akşamı in 2015 and Bayıla Bayıla in 2016.
