Insidious: Chapter 2 is a 2013 American horror film directed by James Wan. The film follows the Lambert family's struggle to escape the demonic entities that continue to haunt them, immediately following the events of the first film.

Plot

The Lambert family, having successfully rescued their son Dalton from The Further at the end of the first film, attempts to return to their normal lives. However, days full of fear and terror begin anew when the father, Josh, starts hosting a mysterious entity. The family discovers that the terrifying events they are experiencing are not related to Dalton's coma but to a much deeper curse stemming from the past. While Josh's soul is trapped in The Further, his body has been possessed by a "ghost-killer." To escape this nightmare, the family must both uncover secrets from the past and save Josh.
