

Irfan Can Kahveci, born on 15 July 1995 in the village of Bayat, located in the Ayaş district of Ankara, is a national footballer. Irfan Can began his football career at the age of seven in the youth academy of Gençlerbirliği, where he trained until 2012. In the 2013–2014 season, he was loaned to Hacettepe, Gençlerbirliği’s reserve team, where he made 38 appearances and scored six goals. He was promoted to Gençlerbirliği’s first team for the 2014–2015 season and made his Süper Lig debut. He scored his first official goal against Kasımpaşa.
Irfan Can signed with İstanbul Başakşehir on 26 December 2016 and made his debut for the club on 14 January 2017 in a match against Kayserispor. Over four seasons at Başakşehir, he played a key role in the team’s Süper Lig championship win in the 2019–2020 season. On 2 December 2020, his hat-trick against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League drew widespread public attention, placing him among the few Turkish players to have scored a hat-trick in the competition.
Irfan Can transferred to Fenerbahçe Sports Kulübü on 31 January 2021. He made his debut for the club on 4 March 2021 against Antalyaspor and scored his first goal for the team on 30 October 2021 against Konyaspor. On 26 October 2023, he reached his 100th appearance for Fenerbahçe in a UEFA Europa League group stage match against Ludogorets. On 12 January 2025, his contract with Fenerbahçe was extended until 2028. He won the league title with Fenerbahçe in the 2022–2023 season.
Irfan Can was first called up to the Türkiye A National Football Team on 23 March 2018 for a friendly match against the Republic of Ireland, where he made his debut. He was selected for the squad for UEFA EURO 2020 and scored his first official international goal in the group stage match against Switzerland. Irfan Can was also included in the expanded squad for UEFA EURO 2024 and remains an active member of the national team.
