Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU)

Established in 2010, Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU) is one of Turkey's innovative and research-oriented universities. Located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, the university stands out with its regional and international education and research activities.

In 2014, IMU ranked 40th among 50 universities in Turkey in the TÜBİTAK Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, demonstrating its ambition in entrepreneurship and innovation. Despite its young age, IMU has gained national and international attention, ranking among the world's top 1,000 universities, pursuing its goal of becoming a global center for education and research.

Istanbul Medeniyet University Campuses

IMU’s campuses are situated in various locations on Istanbul's Anatolian side, providing students with modern and contemporary educational environments. Each campus is designed to meet the academic and social needs of students and faculty members, offering facilities such as libraries, modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, social activity areas, sports facilities, and student club spaces.

The campuses include:

• Göztepe South Campus: The main campus, housing most faculties and administrative units, known for its modern buildings and eco-friendly design.
• Göztepe North Campus: Located opposite the South Campus, it primarily hosts research centers and scientific facilities.
• Kartal Cevizli Campus: Hosts the Faculty of Health Sciences and parts of the Faculty of Medicine, offering proximity to hospitals and practical training facilities.

• Pendik Campus: Focused on health services and practical education, it houses Istanbul Medeniyet University Hospital.
• Maltepe Campus: Dedicated to research projects and special education programs, with plans for expansion.
• Bağlarbaşı Campus: A hub for social and cultural events, located in a historic and central area.

IMU Ziraat Bank Library

Istanbul Medeniyet University’s Ziraat Bank Library is the largest university library in Turkey, serving as a center for academic and cultural activities. With a closed area of 30,000 square meters and modern facilities, the library sets a new standard for access to information and learning.

Officially opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on November 11, 2022, the library reflects the university's vision and Turkey's commitment to education and research. At the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan emphasized the library's goal of becoming Istanbul's center of knowledge and culture.
