Jumanji: The Next Level (Film)

Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 American action, adventure, and fantasy comedy film. Directed and co-written by Jake Kasdan, it is the sequel to the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Inspired by Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 children’s book, the film follows a group of teenagers who return to the video game universe of Jumanji and face new challenges this time around.

Plot

The story begins one year after the events of the first film. Spencer repairs the game console and re-enters Jumanji. His friends decide to re-enter the game to rescue him. However, this time the game unexpectedly pulls in Spencer’s grandfather Eddie and his old friend Milo. The characters must survive a new level of Jumanji filled with diverse climates and dangers, using avatars with altered abilities from those they knew before. Throughout the film, the characters confront new challenges both individually and as a group.
