Kapıkaya Canyon is located in Kapıkaya Village, within the borders of Karaisalı district, affiliated with Adana province in Türkiye. The canyon is 72 kilometers from Adana city center and approximately 5 kilometers from Karaisalı district center.

Geographical Features
Kapıkaya Canyon has a height of approximately 200 meters. The Çakıt Stream, which originates from Ulukışla district of Niğde and is one of the significant branches of the Seyhan River, passes through the middle of the canyon. The canyon is an important geomorphological formation due to its natural structure.

The canyon possesses certain environmental qualities in terms of natural landscape features and weather conditions. Natural water sources such as Bahçecik Waterfall are located within the area. Vegetation and fauna diversity constitute a part of the canyon's ecological structure.

Kapıkaya Canyon is a suitable area for various outdoor activities such as nature walks, rock climbing, and nature photography. It has a walking trail with a total length of 7,250 meters. Approximately 400 meters of this trail features safety railings. The canyon can be visited by local and foreign tourists at various times of the year.
Protection Status
Kapıkaya Canyon was registered as a “Strictly Protected Sensitive Area” by the Presidential Decree dated October 04, 2022, and numbered 6159. This decree entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette dated October 05, 2022, and numbered 31974. This status aims to ensure the preservation of the area's natural structure and its sustainable use.
