Legend of Twilight: New Moon (Film)

The Twilight Saga: New Moon, adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s novel of the same name, is a romantic-fantasy film released in 2009 as the second installment in the series. Directed by Chris Weitz, the film explores Bella Swan’s emotional collapse following Edward Cullen’s departure and her developing relationship with the werewolf Jacob Black.

Plot

Edward Cullen leaves Forks to protect Bella Swan from the dangers of his vampire world. In his absence, Bella descends into deep loneliness and depression and grows close to her childhood friend Jacob Black. She eventually discovers Jacob’s supernatural secret: he is a werewolf. As Bella struggles to navigate the dangerous balance between the vampire and werewolf worlds, she learns that Edward’s life is in peril and sets out to rescue him by confronting the powerful vampire council, the Volturi, in Italy.

Themes
