Love or Not (TV Series)

Seviyor Sevmiyor is a Turkish romantic comedy television series produced by MF Yapım and broadcast on ATV between 2016 and 2017. The main roles are shared by Zeynep Çamcı, Gökhan Alkan, Yiğit Kirazcı, and Gonca Sarıyıldız. The series is an adaptation of the South Korean drama "She Was Pretty."

Plot

The series centers on Deniz (Zeynep Çamcı) and Yiğit (Gökhan Alkan), who were childhood friends, reuniting years later. In childhood, Deniz was popular and beautiful, but as she grew up, she underwent significant changes in her appearance and lost much of her self-confidence. In contrast, Yiğit, who was overweight and wore glasses as a child, has become a successful businessman and a very attractive man.

Yiğit returns to Türkiye to find his childhood love Deniz and arranges a meeting with her. However, fearing that Yiğit will be disappointed by her changed appearance, Deniz asks her close friend İrem (Gonca Sarıyıldız) to impersonate her. This sets off a chain of misunderstandings, comedic situations, and emotional complications. The story becomes even more complex when Deniz begins working as an intern at the magazine where Yiğit is employed, bringing their paths back together.

Production and Broadcast

"Seviyor Sevmiyor" began airing in the summer of 2016 and gained popularity especially among young audiences. The script was adapted to reflect Turkish culture and social dynamics while drawing inspiration from the original production. Filming took place in Istanbul.
