Plot
Medcezir tells the story of a romance between the son of a wealthy family and the daughter of a modest one. The series protagonist, Yaman, is a young man who is wrongfully imprisoned and later taken in by the affluent family of Selim Yedinci. His life is reshaped at the intersection of socioeconomic class differences within the home of his new guardians. - Yaman Kopar – Çağatay Ulusoy: Yaman is the central character of the series. He grows up in one of Istanbul’s marginalized neighborhoods under difficult economic conditions and is intelligent and promising. Wrongfully accused, Yaman moves to one of Istanbul’s elite neighborhoods with the support of lawyer Selim Serez and strives to build a new life. The character of Yaman symbolizes the transition between social classes, the struggles of youth, and the search for belonging. Çağatay Ulusoy powerfully portrayed the character’s internal conflicts and transformation.
- Mira Beylice – Serenay Sarıkaya: Mira is a young woman raised in luxury as the daughter of a wealthy family and accustomed to having control over every aspect of her life.
