
Mehmet Fatih Kacır, born in Istanbul in 1984, completed his undergraduate education in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University after graduating from Istanbul Boys’ High School.
Following his university education, Mehmet Fatih Kacır became a founding partner in several companies operating in the private sector within technology and industry. In these ventures, he led industrial design projects, utility model development, and patent application processes. The technology-based production solutions developed within the companies he co-founded were implemented across various sectors.
Mehmet Fatih Kacır is one of the founders of the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), established in 2016. The foundation’s primary objective was to enhance Türkiye’s capacity for technology production and to encourage young generations to engage in scientific endeavors. From 2016 until 2018, Kacır served as Chairman of the Board of the T3 Foundation and played an active role in the development and implementation of the following initiatives:
In addition, Kacır was part of the founding team during the initial organization of the Teknofest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival and contributed to the structural and thematic design of the event.
In 2018, Kacır was elected as a member of the TÜBİTAK Science Board, where he contributed to the formulation of research policies and the development of publicly funded R&D programs. From 2019 to 2023, he served as a member of the ASELSAN Board of Directors, participating in decision-making and oversight processes for defense industry projects.

In addition, he contributed to the establishment of the Türkiye Open Source Platform and the opening of 42 Software Schools. He also participated in the technology roadmap development for Türkiye’s Automobile Initiative, TOGG.
In 2023, he was appointed Minister of Industry and Technology in the Presidential Cabinet. During his tenure, the following key national strategies were implemented:
Mehmet Fatih Kacır is married and a father of two children. He is fluent in English and German. In addition to his public duties, he actively participates in various national and international events on technology policy, entrepreneurship systems, and youth initiatives.
