Domestic and national hand-held metal detectors are being developed and integrated into public institutions by defense industry firms such as ASELSAN and HAVELSAN. Efforts to replace imported products with local alternatives are actively encouraged by institutions including the General Directorate of Security and the Ministry of Interior.
