In 2016, Škriniar transferred to Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, where he played for only one season. His dominance in aerial duels and contributions to defensive organization were particularly notable during this period.
In the summer of 2017, Milan Škriniar joined Inter Milan, where he became the backbone of the team’s defense over six seasons. By the early 2020s, he had risen to the position of team captain. With Inter, he won one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

In the summer of 2025, Fenerbahçe informed the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it had initiated negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain regarding the transfer of Milan Škriniar. The club’s social media posts confirmed that the player had arrived in Istanbul and undergone medical examinations.
Škriniar, expected to bring significant leadership and experience to Fenerbahçe’s defense, will begin his Süper Lig career upon completion of the official transfer.
Milan Škriniar’s game-reading ability, success in one-on-one defensive situations and determination in positioning stand out. He is capable of playing both as a right and left center-back and can also operate as a full-back when needed.
His accurate long-range passing and ability to create passing angles to break opposition pressure enable him to play a vital role in initiating defensive transitions. Additionally, his high concentration levels and skill in marking opposing forwards in threat zones draw particular attention.
