Muhsin Bey is a 1987 comedy-drama film by Yavuz Turgul. The film, starring Şener Şen, Uğur Yücel, and Sermin Hürmeriç, centers on Muhsin Kanadıkırık, a music producer struggling to make a living in one of Istanbul’s old bazaars, and his encounter with Ali Nazik, a young singer from Şanlıurfa.

Plot

Muhsin Bey is an idealistic man who runs a music production office from an old, dilapidated inn. He is deeply passionate about music and art but struggles financially. Unable to adapt to the rapid changes around him and nostalgic for the old Istanbul way of life, his quiet existence is upended when Ali Nazik, known as "Arap Ali," arrives from Şanlıurfa with dreams of fame and knocks on his door. At first, Muhsin Bey is unimpressed by Ali, but he is eventually moved by Ali’s pure and heartfelt voice and decides to help him.
