Naz Aydemir Akyol (14 August 1990, Istanbul) is a former national volleyball player and setter who began her career in the national youth teams before continuing at the senior national team level.
Guided by her mother, former national volleyball player Alev Aydemir, and her father, Ali Aydemir, she began playing volleyball at the age of nine at the Eczacıbaşı Sports School. Her outstanding performances in the youth system drew attention when she was 15, leading to her promotion to the Eczacıbaşı Senior Team. In the 2005–06 season, she became the youngest setter ever to win a league title with the club. The following season, 2006–07, she again won the championship with her team. In the 2007–08 season, she helped Eczacıbaşı secure their third consecutive league title.
On 3 June 2009, she transferred to Fenerbahçe. During the 2009–10 season, she won the Turkish League, Turkish Cup and Super Cup titles with her team, and also finished as runner-up in the CEV Champions League. She was named the Best Setter of the 2009–10 Turkish League season. In her second season at Fenerbahçe, she added the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship title and a third-place finish in the CEV Champions League to her list of achievements. She was again named Best Setter in the 2010–11 Turkish League final series.
In 2012, she transferred to Vakıfbank. During the 2012–13 season, she won the Turkish League, Turkish Cup, Super Cup, Champions League and FIVB Women’s Club World Championship titles with the club, completing the season with five trophies and marking it as a historic campaign. In 2019, she returned to Fenerbahçe.
In the summer of 2022, she transferred to Turkish Airlines Club and played for them during the 2022–23 season. She then returned to Eczacıbaşı in 2023, winning the 2023 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship and continuing to play for the club today.

Naz Aydemir Akyol has also represented Türkiye at the senior, junior and youth national team levels. She captained the Youth National Team that won the 2007 FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship, achieving a historic first for Türkiye. With the Junior National Team, she earned third place at the 2008 European Junior Championship and was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
In 2008, she was first invited to the senior national team training camp for the Olympic qualification matches held in Beijing. She stood out as one of the most notable players during the qualification tournament in Halle, Germany. With the senior national team, she contributed to a sixth-place finish at the FIVB World Grand Prix. She was part of the Turkish national team that achieved third place in the CEV European League and sixth place at the FIVB World Championship by 2010. In 2011, she helped the national team reach second place in the CEV European League.
She competed in the 2012 London Olympics, where Türkiye made its historic debut in women’s volleyball and finished in ninth place. At the 2019 European Championship held in Ankara, she helped the national team finish second. In the 2021 Volleyball Nations League, she contributed to a third-place finish, marking another significant achievement in the final phase of her national team career.
She was also part of the Turkish squad that finished fifth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. On the last day of 2021, she announced the end of her national team career via her social media account.
Naz Aydemir Akyol married national basketball player Cenk Akyol in 2013. The couple has one child. Akyol pursued her higher education at the Communication Faculty of Istanbul Information University and graduated in 2011 after completing her studies in the Advertising Department. She is currently continuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Istanbul Gedik University. She is also the cousin of İlkay Gündoğan, who plays for Manchester City in the English Premier League.
