Neşet Ertaş Sultans of Heart Culture House is located in Kırşehir city center to promote the life, art and cultural impact of the artist Neşet Ertaş, who contributed to the Turkish folk music repertoire. The culture house was restored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism from the building that was previously used as the governor's residence and opened in 2014. The venue is located on Atatürk Street.

About Neşet Ertaş

Born in 1938 in Kırşehir, Neşet Ertaş is an artist who continues the Avşar-Turkmen bozlak tradition and combines it with new forms. His father Muharrem Ertaş is also a well-known figure in this field. Neşet Ertaş has attracted attention in the field of folk music in Türkiye with his bağlama playing technique and vocal style, and has been the subject of academic research. Throughout his artistic life, he has released about twenty albums and performed countless stage performances.

In 2006, Ertaş was awarded the Outstanding Service Award of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and in 2009 he was declared a "Living Human Treasure" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 2011, Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory awarded him an honorary doctorate degree. The artist passed away on September 25, 2012.

Neşet Ertaş Sultans of Heart Culture House is a thematic structure where the names representing the tradition of minstrelsy and minstrelsy are introduced. In the culture house, folk minstrels and cultural figures who have come to the fore in the process starting from Dede Korkut to the present day are presented to visitors in a chronological order. Folk music instruments from various periods are also exhibited in the space and sound samples of these instruments can be listened to digitally.

A special room has been allocated for Neşet Ertaş in the Culture House. In this section, records, cassettes, various concert and award photographs and personal memories of the artist's life are exhibited. The android sculpture in the room was designed in accordance with the physical appearance of Neşet Ertaş and programmed to perform his folk songs. This statue, which was produced in Samsun, speaks to visitors in Kırşehir dialect and performs folk songs at regular intervals.

The Android sculpture was developed to convey the artist's stage performances and musical style to the visitors. The statue's outfit is based on the clothes the artist wore throughout his life and attention has been paid to the details of his appearance, such as his glasses. The room also contains documents and photographs of the artist's honorary doctorate ceremony, stage footage and the day of his burial.
