
Onur Tuna was born on 2 July 1985 in Çanakkale. His mother is of Turkish origin and migrated to Türkiye from Thessaloniki; his father is a mathematics teacher. His mother is retired from the land registry office. He began his high school education in 2000 at Bursa Male High School. He lived in Gelibolu until the age of 15. From middle school onward he played volleyball and basketball under license; he was a member of the high school basketball team and the school band. At age 15 he began singing and playing the guitar.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of Dokuz Eylül University. He also received Turkish art music vocal training for one year at the State Turkish Music Conservatory of Ege University.
Onur Tuna plays the guitar and has written two songs titled “Acın Verdi” and “Tıpkı Sen”. He also plays the piano and has released albums consisting of his own songs.
During his university years he participated in theater plays. He worked as a professional model in İzmir for four years. He received acting training for two and a half years at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center in İzmir. After moving to Istanbul he took method and on-camera acting lessons from Üç Mota, Ayla Algan, Craft Tiyatro and Saim Güveloğlu. He also worked with Ümit Çırak.
Onur Tuna began his professional acting career in 2011 with the role of Sıraç Bakırcı in the series “Hayat Devam Ediyor”.
He has worked on dubbing projects and released solo music recordings. He was also involved in the musical productions of the series “Yasak Elma” for a period.
