Opel Grandland

Opel Grandland is a B/C-segment SUV model first introduced in 2017 and fully renewed in 2024 with its second generation (Grandland B). Developed under the Stellantis group, the vehicle targets a broad user base with a range of powertrain options.

The 2024 model Grandland features dynamic and sharp lines incorporating Opel’s “3D Vizor” front design language. The front end is complemented by LED Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix headlights. At the rear, a full-width light strip and an illuminated Opel logo are featured. Inside the cabin, recycled textile materials and AGR-certified ergonomic seats are used. Innovative storage solutions such as the “Pixel Box” are also incorporated.

The Grandland B offers a variety of electric and hybrid powertrains:

• 1.2 L mild-hybrid (136 hp, 230 Nm), 6-speed automatic
• 1.6 L plug-in hybrid (PHEV): 195 hp, 350 Nm, ~87 km WLTP electric range, 0–100 km/h in 7.8 s
• Full electric (BEV): 213 hp FWD, 260 Nm, 73 kWh battery, ~523 km WLTP range, 0–100 km/h in 9 s
• Electric AWD variant: dual motor, 325 hp, 509 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 6.1 s, ~501 km range in watt-mode

The model is built on the STLA Medium platform (a derivative of CMP), offering a long wheelbase, generous cargo volume (~550–1641 L), and a high driving position for dynamic handling.

The cabin is enhanced with modern features including a 16-inch central touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and AR head-up display. Ergonomic controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, AGR-certified seats, recycled fabric upholstery, and storage solutions such as the Pixel Box are standard. Additionally, technologies like adaptive suspension and frequency selective damping provide a smooth ride.

The Grandland is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems under the Intelli-Drive 2.0 suite, including adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, pre-crash assistance, blind spot warning, 360-degree surround view, and in-crash braking to ensure safe driving.

The Opel Grandland B was developed and produced by Stellantis’ Rüsselsheim design center and Eisenach manufacturing facility in Germany. The electric variants are the first SUVs in Europe based on the STLA Medium platform, and from 2025 onward, production will be exclusively electric. A sustainable energy infrastructure, including solar panels and heat pumps, has been installed at the Eisenach plant.
