Osman Osman Sınav (1956 – 2025) was a producer and screenwriter. He is known for his contributions to Turkish television and cinema. He began his career in advertising and later shifted to television and film production, bringing to life numerous culture projects. He passed away on 20 March 2025 at the age of 69.

Life and Education
Osman Sınav was born in Burdur in 1956. He began his art education in 1975 at the Painting Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts and continued in 1977 at the Applied Arts High School of the same institution in Textile Design. He later turned to cinema and studied at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts Cinema Television Institute, graduating in 1979.
Career
Advertising Period (1979–1987)
Osman Sınav began his professional career as a copywriter at Man Agency. Between 1980 and 1984 he worked as a copywriter and creative group head at the agency Grafika Lintas. In 1984 he founded the film production company Sinegraf, entering the cinema industry. Between 1984 and 1987 he directed over 500 commercials.
Television and Cinema Career
In 1987 Osman Sınav left advertising and turned to cinema projects, beginning his directing career with the television film Bir Muharririn Ölümü the same year. In 1989 he produced Hünkârın Bir Günü, and in 1990 he produced Yalancı Şafak, Küçük Dünya and Aşka Kimse Yok.
In 1991 he began producing television series, marking a major turning point in his career. His 1993 film Yalancı won an award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Between 1994 and 1996 he directed the series Süper Baba, which reached a wide audience.
In 1998 he produced the series Deli Yürek, which gained immense popularity and became one of the most significant productions in Turkish television history. Between 2002 and 2004 he served as director of the series Kurtlar Vadisi, signing the first 55 episodes.
In 2005 he produced and directed Acı Hayat, in 2009 Sakarya Fırat, and in 2018 Sen Anlat Karadeniz, among many other series.
He also produced films. He directed Gerilla in 1995, Deli Yürek: Bumerang Cehennemi in 2001, Pars: Kiraz Operasyonu in 2007, Uzun Hikâye in 2012, and Aşk Kırmızı in 2013. In his later years he directed and produced the series Yalnız Kurt.

Personal Life
Osman Sınav was married to Tangül Sınav and had three children from this marriage. He separated from his wife in 2016.
Death
Osman Sınav succumbed to cancer after being treated for long years. He died on 20 March 2025 at the age of 69.
Awards
Throughout his career Osman Sınav received numerous awards. He won an award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for the film Yalancı and received the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Director for the series Deli Yürek.
