Subject
The underground research facility known as the Hive, located near Raccoon City, is used by the Umbrella Corporation for biological and genetic experiments. The artificial intelligence system known as Red Queen, which controls the facility, quarantines the entire site due to the spread of the deadly T-virus. As the virus transforms the workers into zombies, Red Queen's system control is also threatened. A special military unit is sent to the facility to uncover the source of the virus, stop Red Queen, and fight the zombies. Alice, a woman who has lost her memory, is drawn into the center of the events as part of the team.
Thematic Structure
Artificial Intelligence and Control: The Red Queen character, acting on a logic that conflicts with human values, attempts to suppress the threat, prompting the audience to question the limits of technology.
Human Experiments and Ethics: Umbrella Corporation's dark activities offer a critique of the ethical boundaries and consequences of scientific experiments.
Survival and Memory: Alice's search for her identity and past after losing her memory forms the main axis of character development and tension throughout the film.
