Rich Girl, Poor Boy is a Turkish sitcom produced by Mint Yapım, aired between 2012 and 2015. The series centers on the humorous situations that arise when two families from different social and economic backgrounds come together through the marriage of their children.

Plot

The main characters are Biricik, the daughter of a wealthy and established family, and Nurhan, a honest and hardworking young man who grew up in modest circumstances. The love between Biricik and Nurhan encounters various obstacles due to the socioeconomic differences between their families. Biricik’s father, Kemal Bey, a wealthy businessman, looks down on Nurhan and his family and strongly opposes their marriage. Nurhan’s family, in contrast, is more traditional and warm-hearted. The series explores the cultural clashes and misunderstandings that emerge from the collision of these two worlds. Kemal Bey’s efforts to separate Biricik and Nurhan, the unintended complications caused by Nurhan’s good intentions, and the internal dynamics within each family form the core narrative of the series.

The series premiered on TRT 1 in 2012 and was directed by Hasan Tolga Pulat. It continued its run on the FOX (NOW) channel and concluded in 2015.
