SAR 308 Infantry Rifle

SAR 308, is a modernized infantry rifle developed by Sarsılmaz based on the AK-47 platform. The model was entirely developed with domestic production in Türkiye.

Technical Specifications

The weapon uses 7.62x39 mm ammunition and operates with a gas piston system. Its standard magazine holds 30 rounds. Fire modes include safe, single shot and fully automatic.

The maximum length of the weapon measures 910 millimetres (±10 mm). The empty weight is approximately 3550 grams, and the barrel length is 413 millimetres. The muzzle velocity is approximately 715 metres per second. The effective range is measured at 350 metres. The model is produced in a black finish.

Design and Usage Features

SAR 308 features a high-strength polymer magazine, stock and handguard reinforced with steel components. The model incorporates two different locking systems. Fire modes include single shot and fully automatic.

The rifle is produced in two configurations: a fixed stock version and a folding telescopic stock version. These options are designed to provide different carrying and ergonomic characteristics according to the intended use.
