
Selçuk Aydemir was born on 6 June 1982 in Istanbul. He completed his higher education in the Aeronautical Engineering department at Istanbul Technical University. However, instead of pursuing a career in engineering, he turned toward cinema and writing. Aydemir began his career with short films and gradually became known for his television series, feature films, and books.
Selçuk Aydemir’s earliest directed short films include Profesyonel (2005), Ayrılık (2006), Yüzük (2007), and Gövde Gösterisi (2008). His first television projects were the 2009 series Ramazan Güzeldir and the three-episode mini-series Kurban.
