

Cenk Baş, known by his stage name Semicenk, was born on 7 October 1998 in the Boyabat district of Sinop. He is of Adana origin through his mother and Ordu origin through his father. He was born in Sinop while his father was serving as a gendarmerie noncommissioned officer. His interest in music began when his mother gifted him a guitar, and over time he learned to play instruments such as the ud and piano. He graduated from the Department of Music and Performing Arts at Ordu University.
Semicenk began his music career in 2019 by participating in the TV8 competition "O Ses Türkiye". He was part of Hadise's team and reached the semifinals.
He made his debut with the songs "Yüzü Tanıdık Değil" and "Kalbim Usandı". He gained widespread recognition with his single "Düşer Aklıma", released in December 2021, which surpassed 100 million streams within two years.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Funda Arar, Mustafa Ceceli, Reynmen, and Ziynet Sali. In 2022, he released his EP titled "Aşırı Doz".
In 2023, he won the "Best Debut Singer" award at the 49th Golden Butterfly Awards, and the song "Pişman Değilim", which he performed with Doğu Swag, was named "Song of the Year".
