Sharp Objects (Series)

Sharp Objects is a 2018 American psychological thriller miniseries adapted from Gillian Flynn’s 2006 novel of the same name. Created by Marti Noxon and directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, the series was released on HBO. It stars Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson in the lead roles.

Plot

Camille Preaker, a journalist with a history of alcoholism and self-harm, returns to her hometown of Wind Gap, Missouri, to investigate the murders of two young girls. During this time, she is forced to confront her traumatic past and her strained family relationships. Her complex bond with her mother, Adora, and her connection with her stepsister, Amma, deepen Camille’s internal conflicts.
