Škoda Karoq

Škoda Karoq is a C-segment compact SUV model developed by Czech automaker Škoda Auto, based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB-A1 platform. Introduced for the first time in 2017, it is positioned as the second SUV in Škoda’s lineup after the Kodiaq.

The Škoda Karoq features an exterior design shaped by the brand’s renewed design language. Following its 2022 facelift, the bumper design, wheel options, and rear tail lights were updated. The model offers a cargo volume of 521 litres with the rear seats in an upright position. Thanks to the VarioFlex seating system, this capacity can be expanded up to 1,810 litres by completely removing the rear seats.

The Škoda Karoq is available with petrol and diesel internal combustion engine options. The current engine lineup includes:

• 1.0 TSI 3-cylinder petrol engine (110 PS)
• 1.5 TSI 4-cylinder petrol engine (150 PS)
• 2.0 TDI diesel engine (116 or 150 PS)

These engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 2.0 TDI engine is offered with an all-wheel-drive system (4x4) on certain trim levels. Fuel consumption, according to WLTP data, ranges between 5.2 and 6.4 L/100 km.

The Škoda Karoq is equipped with various driver assistance systems designed to enhance driving comfort and safety in daily use. Depending on the equipment level, the following systems are available:

• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
• Lane Keeping Assist
• Blind Spot Detection
• Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
• Parking Assistant and Rear View Camera

Additionally, through Škoda Connect services, drivers can remotely access vehicle information, view parking location, and monitor maintenance schedules.

The Škoda Karoq is produced at various Škoda facilities across Europe, primarily at the Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. In the European market, the Karoq shares its technical platform with models such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and SEAT Ateca, and stands out in the C-SUV segment with user-friendly features, a high level of equipment, and economical engine options.
