Škoda Superb

The Škoda Superb is a large-family sedan positioned in the D segment, produced by the Czech automaker Škoda Auto. First introduced in 2001 on a modern platform the Superb distinguished itself through comfort interior space and long-distance driving capability. The fourth-generation Superb launched in 2024 is built on an updated version of the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and is offered in both sedan (liftback) and Combi (station wagon) body styles.

The new-generation Superb features sharper lines reflecting the brand’s updated design language an optimized aerodynamic structure and LED lighting elements. The vehicle’s drag coefficient has been reduced to as low as 0.25. While there are design differences between the sedan and Combi variants both body styles offer competitive interior space and trunk capacity for their segment (Sedan: 645 L Combi: 690 L trunk volume).

The Škoda Superb for the 2024 model year offers both internal combustion and hybrid powertrain options. Available engine choices include:

• 1.5 TSI (150 PS DSG with mild hybrid assistance)
• 2.0 TSI (204 PS and 265 PS with four-wheel drive available)
• 2.0 TDI (150 PS and 193 PS with 4x4 option on higher trims)

• 1.5 TSI eHybrid
• Total system power: 204 PS
• All-electric driving range: Approximately 100 km (WLTP)
• DC fast charging support (approximately 80% charge in 25 minutes)

The new hybrid system is equipped with increased battery capacity (25.7 kWh) and more efficient energy management compared to the previous generation.

The 2024 Škoda Superb is produced on the same assembly line as the new-generation Passat at Volkswagen Group’s facility in Bratislava Slovakia. Its target audience includes fleet users long-distance drivers and large families. The Superb continues to serve as Škoda’s flagship model and is regarded as a hybrid transition model during the phase-out of internal combustion engines.
