Söküçayırı Waterfall

Söküçayırı Waterfall is located within the boundaries of Söküçayırı Village, in the Ayancık district of Sinop Province, Türkiye. The waterfall features water cascading from a height of approximately 15 metres, surrounded by lush vegetation. The area, situated within a forested zone, is home to hornbeam and oak trees.

Management and Conservation Status

The area containing the waterfall falls under the jurisdiction of the Ayancık Forest Management Directorate. Forestry activities are carried out in this region.

Tourism Potential and Development Efforts

Under the leadership of the Ayancık District Governorship and the Sinop Provincial Special Administration, tourism-oriented projects have been planned for the vicinity of Söküçayırı Waterfall. Initiatives include the construction of walking trails, viewing terraces, and environmental improvements. It has been emphasized that natural integrity and the principle of sustainability will be prioritized in all planning efforts.

Access

The waterfall is located approximately 30 kilometres from the town centre of Ayancık. Access is possible via paved road.
