Status quo is a term that defines an action which is; choosing things as they are, or their recent revisions. While persons or authorities are about to decide on an action, if they aim to keep the last agreed circumstances or current status, they prefer to keep the last conditions on a related topic and maintain the status quo.
Example: John decided to maintain the status quo regarding his trial next week.
