Star System in Turkish Football
In Türkiye, football clubs earn a gold star above their crest for every five Süper Lig championships. This system, officially recognized by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), is used on team kits and crests to visually indicate historical league success.
- 1 star = 5 league titles
- 2 stars = 10 titles
- 3 stars = 15 titles
- 4 stars = 20 titles
- 5 stars = 25 titles
Current Star Status
Galatasaray, with 24 league titles, is entitled to wear four stars above its crest.
Fenerbahçe has officially won 19 league titles according to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and is therefore entitled to three stars.
Beşiktaş, having secured 16 league titles, also wears three stars.
Trabzonspor, Bursaspor, and Başakşehir have not yet reached the five-title threshold required to earn a star and therefore do not display any stars on their crests.
