The platform was unveiled on 2 May 2023 at the Beykoz Kundura Factory in Istanbul and opened to users on 7 May 2023. TRT General Director Mehmet Zahid Sobacı described its purpose as “creating a new medium in the digital space” and “becoming an international brand for Türkiye.”

tabii offers users both free and Premium subscription options.
- Free Access: The free subscription allows users to access live broadcasts of TRT channels and current and archived content with advertisements.
- Premium Package: A Premium subscription is required to watch original productions and all other content without advertisements. The monthly fee for this package is set at 99 TL. The Premium package provides ad-free content, the ability to rewind and watch TV channels up to 24 hours back, offline viewing through downloads, and high-quality video options.
Sports Broadcasts
- Tournaments: Matches from the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, and UEFA Super Cup are available on the tabii platform.
- Broadcast Period: These competitions will be broadcast on tabii and relevant TRT channels (TRT 1, TRT Spor, TRT Spor Yıldız, TRT Radyo 1) for three years starting from the 2024–2025 season.
- Access Conditions (Türkiye): Matches involving Turkish teams in UEFA competitions can be viewed free of charge only within the borders of Türkiye. To watch all other matches in UEFA competitions, a Premium subscription is required.
