Taha Hüseyin Karagöz is a Turkish journalist known for his work in digital and visual media. He was born on 17 March 1993 in Zonguldak and is originally from Dernekpazarı district of Trabzon. He spent his childhood and youth in Zonguldak, completing his primary and secondary education in the city. This period enabled him to closely observe local agendas and engage early with social issues.
Karagöz began his university education at the Faculty of Communication at Anadolu University. While in the preparatory class, he developed an interest in the sector and decided, in his own words, to make a risky move by transferring his academic career to Istanbul. In line with his goal of gaining field experience at an early age, he transferred to the Journalism Department at Istanbul University. His educational experience in Istanbul brought him closer to media centers and helped expand his professional network.
Karagöz’s professional media career began in 2012 at Star Newspaper. His role in the advertising unit provided him with experience in media economics, publishing processes, and the functioning of institutional structures.
In 2013, he began working as an editor at Ülke Haber, the online news platform under Kanal 7. This marked his direct entry into journalistic practice. He worked within the structure of digital journalism, which demands speed, verification, and the use of multiple sources, taking on responsibilities in agenda monitoring, news writing, and editorial editing.
In 2015, Karagöz transferred to Güneş Newspaper, a significant milestone in his career. He assumed roles including editor, intelligence chief, and, at a young age, news director. By participating in the management of the newsroom, he gained experience in decision-making during crises, team coordination, and managing field-office relations.
As of 2019, Karagöz began working as Director of Special Reports at Yeni Şafak, the news platform within the Albayrak Media Group. In this role, he conducted file-based reports, exclusive interviews, and fieldwork. His work included content that sparked public debate and generated widespread反响.
In 2021, Karagöz developed and presented the program “Sert Sorular” under the Albayrak Media Group. The program addressed politics, security, foreign policy, and social issues, opening discussions on current topics from multiple perspectives. This program became one of the key initiatives that increased Karagöz’s visibility in public opinion.
In 2021, Taha Hüseyin Karagöz traveled to Afghanistan to directly observe the political and military developments there. During the Ukraine–Russia War, which began in 2022, Karagöz monitored developments in conflict zones. He produced field-based reports on the war’s impact on civilian life, migration movements, and security dynamics. In this context, he delivered content grounded in direct observation of events that dominated international public discourse.

He produced news stories focusing on security conditions in conflict areas, living conditions of local populations, and regional instability. These reports were considered part of field journalism in war and crisis zones.
During street protests and social demonstrations in France, Karagöz was on-site to monitor developments. He produced news coverage examining these events within the framework of public order, security policies, and societal reactions. His publications were based on field observations of social movements across Europe.
Karagöz carried out fieldwork in various African countries affected by humanitarian crises. His reports focused on poverty, basic living conditions, and humanitarian aid efforts, addressing socio-economic challenges in the region. The content he produced was recognized as an example of field journalism addressing the international humanitarian agenda.
In June 2023, Karagöz transitioned to independent journalism, beginning to conduct media activities outside institutional structures. He participated in the preparation and implementation of various social responsibility projects, notably the Hepimizin Evi Darülaceze campaign under the auspices of the Presidency. During this period, he expanded his journalistic activities beyond mere news production.
Today, Karagöz appears as a commentator on national television channels and regularly produces content on his own social media platforms.
