Tayfun Block-4

Tayfun Blok-4, Roketsan tarafından geliştirilen ve Tayfun balistik füze ailesinin bir üyesi olan hipersonik balistik füze sistemidir. Türkiye’nin milli imkanlarla ürettiği en uzun menzilli balistik füze olarak tanımlanmış olup, 22-26 Temmuz 2025 tarihlerinde İstanbul’da düzenlenen Uluslararası Savunma Sanayii Fuarı (IDEF 2025) kapsamında ilk kez tanıtılmıştır.

Technical Specifications

• Weight: 7,200 kilograms.

Introduction and the Tayfun Family

Tayfun Blok-4 has been designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces. The system represents Türkiye’s progress in ballistic missile technology and plays a deterrent role in regional security dynamics. Developed under Roketsan’s R&D program, Tayfun Blok-4 reached the final stages of its development as of 28 July 2025. Test launches are planned to begin in the near future, with the goal of integrating the missile into the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces by the end of 2025.

Tayfun Blok-4 is a member of the Tayfun ballistic missile family, whose serial production and deliveries are ongoing. This missile family is already in service with the Turkish Armed Forces and consists of different blocks tailored to specific mission requirements. Roketsan plans to expand the Tayfun family with new capabilities.

Tayfun Blok-4 was first exhibited at the IDEF 2025 fair held in Istanbul from 22 to 26 July 2025. The system attracted interest from both domestic and foreign defense authorities, reflecting Türkiye’s advancements in ballistic missile technology and Roketsan’s R&D capacity.

Delivery Process to the Turkish Armed Forces

7 April 2026 saw the inauguration of the “ROKETSAN Production Facilities Opening, Serial Production Deliveries and Foundation Laying Ceremony” in the Lalahan region of Ankara. During the ceremony, various defense systems including the Tayfun Blok-4 were delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces. At the same event, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inspected locally produced defense industry products by Roketsan, received briefings from officials on the systems, and posed for commemorative photographs in front of the equipment.

Production and Integration Infrastructure

During the ceremony, the Kırıkkale Fuel Production Facility, the Lalahan Warhead Facility and the Advanced Technologies R&D and Engineering Center were inaugurated. Additionally, the foundation was laid for the Lalahan Missile Integration Facility. These facilities have been brought into service to support the production, integration and development of missile systems and various munitions.

Following the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conducted inspections at the newly inaugurated Roketsan production facilities. Roketsan’s General Manager Murat İkinci provided briefings on the facilities and ongoing projects. During the inspections, Erdoğan posed for commemorative photographs in front of Roketsan-produced systems and signed his name on the Tayfun Blok-4 missile.
