The TEI-TF10000 Turbofan Engine is the first original turbofan engine developed by TUSAŞ Engine Industry. (TEI) in line with Türkiye's national aviation goals. Capable of producing 10,000 lbf of thrust with an afterburner and 6,000 lbf of thrust in dry operation, this engine represents a strategic step toward technology acquisition for the engine system of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN. The project also aims to establish an infrastructure capable of powering both manned and unmanned aerial platforms.
TEI-TF10000 is the first afterburning turbofan engine to be developed domestically in Türkiye. In this context, not only the basic components of the engine but also its accessories and subsystems will be developed in collaboration with domestic companies. The project will make significant contributions to enhancing domestic engineering capabilities, expanding technical knowledge, and cultivating qualified human resources, both within the main contractor TEI and among subcontractor companies. TEI-TF10000 is an engineering project aimed at advancing Türkiye's engine development capabilities to an advanced level.
