With the acceleration of digital transformation in the 21st century, information technologies have begun to radically change social and economic structures. One of the most striking elements of this transformation process has been blockchain technology, which stands out with its principles of decentralization, security, transparency, and immutability. Initially gaining widespread attention through cryptocurrency systems, blockchain has gradually started offering applications in many other fields such as healthcare services, public administration, supply chain, and digital identity. In this context, Turkey is undertaking various initiatives to achieve its goal of becoming a developer country. One of these initiatives is the TEKNOFEST Blockchain Competition. The competition is organized to support the development of blockchain technology, to create expert human resources in this field, and to bring innovative solutions to the technology ecosystem.
Purpose and Vision of the Competition
The TEKNOFEST Blockchain Competition is designed to position blockchain technology not just as a technical infrastructure, but as a transformative tool for solving real-world social and economic challenges. The competition encourages participants to develop innovative blockchain-based projects that address critical issues in areas such as public administration, education, finance, banking, and logistics. Beyond practical applications, it also aims to foster the accumulation of knowledge and the growth of a skilled talent pool in the field of blockchain within Turkey.
