UEFA Youth League 2024–2025 Final

UEFA Youth League 2024–2025 Final was played on 28 April 2025 at the Colovray Sports Centre in Nyon, Switzerland, featuring Barcelona U19 representing Spain and Trabzonspor U19 representing Türkiye. Barcelona U19 won the match 4–1 to claim the title. Trabzonspor U19 became the first Turkish team in the history of the UEFA Youth League to reach the final.

First Half

In the 11th minute, Barcelona took the lead after Junyent delivered a pass from midfield to Diarra, who turned and shot into the net from just inside the penalty area. In the 18th minute, Barcelona scored their second goal. Following a corner kick from the right flank, Farre headed Farinas’ delivery, and the rebound fell to Cuenca, who finished past goalkeeper Erol Can Çolak.

In the 19th minute, Barcelona extended their lead to 3–0 after Hernandez delivered a precise cross from the right flank, but the goal was disallowed by VAR for offside. The first half ended with Barcelona leading 2–0.

Second Half

In the 57th minute, Barcelona increased their advantage. Diarra received a pass from Arda Öztürk, broke into the penalty area and squared the ball to Alba, who evaded Bican Tibukoğlu and placed a low shot into the far corner for his team’s third goal.

In the 58th minute, Barcelona made it 4–0 after a long pass behind the defense found Pradas on the right flank, whose cross was met by Diarra’s shot.

Trabzonspor’s only goal came in the 88th minute. Following an attack down the right flank, Ekrem Terzi delivered a pass to Oğuzhan Yılmaz, who crossed from the end line to the back post. Bican Tibukoğlu headed the ball into the net. The match ended 4–1 in favor of Barcelona U19.

Trabzonspor’s Tournament Journey

Trabzonspor U19 qualified for the UEFA Youth League via the Champions Path.

• In the second qualifying round, they defeated Montenegrin side Buducnost Podgorica 3–1 at home and 5–2 away.
• In the third qualifying round, they drew 2–2 away against Bosnian side Sarajevo and won 6–1 at home to advance to the round of 32.
• In the round of 32, they defeated Italy’s Juventus 1–0.
• In the round of 16, after a 0–0 draw in normal time against Atalanta, they won 5–3 on penalties to reach the quarterfinals.
• In the quarterfinals, they beat Inter 1–0 and then defeated Austria’s Salzburg 2–1 in the semifinals to reach the final. Trabzonspor became the first Turkish team in UEFA Youth League history to reach the final.

Statistics

Trabzonspor conceded only one goal from the round of 32 onward, excluding the final. However, in the final against Barcelona U19, their defensive performance throughout the tournament could not be maintained. With this victory, Barcelona became the fourth team to win the UEFA Youth League title four times.
