Plot

"Vefa Sultan" centers on the spiritual evolution of Muslihuddin Mustafa, tracing his journey from being a teacher to becoming a dervish. The series details the challenges Vefa Sultan encounters in his quest for truth and the transformations he undergoes during this process. The narrative explores how Muslihuddin Mustafa’s devotion to knowledge transformed him into a figure who profoundly influenced Istanbul’s spiritual fabric. The production presents, through symbolic storytelling, how the hearts of a people were won alongside the conquest of a city. The role of Vefa Sultan’s wife, Belinay, and her contribution to his spiritual development are also key elements of the series. The character of Belinay portrays a shared spiritual experience alongside Vefa Sultan.

Production and Broadcast Process

"Vefa Sultan", a special Ramadan project of TRT 1, was broadcast daily at 23:55 throughout the month of Ramadan, beginning on 1 March. The series, which offers viewers a spiritual journey through its episodes, is currently preparing for a second season.
