Venom: The Last Dance (Film)

Venom: The Last Dance is a 2024 American superhero film directed and written by Kelly Marcel. The production is based on the Venom character from Marvel Comics and was produced through a collaboration between Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment, with distribution handled by Sony Pictures Releasing. Starring Tom Hardy in the lead role, the film serves as a sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), concluding the Venom trilogy.

The film portrays a period in which Eddie Brock and his symbiote Venom, despite having grown accustomed to coexisting as a single entity, are forced to flee as fugitives from both their own world and new enemies. To survive and overcome the dangers they encounter, the duo must forge a powerful alliance. As this unfolds, the bond between Venom and Eddie deepens, while the adversaries they face become increasingly deadly and complex.

The film explores themes of identity, control, internal conflict, and adaptation. The evolving relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom challenges the boundaries between human and non-human existence. Additionally, the introduction of Knull, the creator of the symbiotes, opens the door to a broader mythology within the Venom universe.

Kelly Marcel directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Tom Hardy. Principal photography began on June 26, 2023, in Cartagena, Spain, but was halted in July 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming resumed in November 2023. The film was released in the United States on October 25, 2024.
