Wilfried Singo was transferred to Torino in 2019. Initially deployed as a central defender, he was later moved to the right-back position. He made 109 appearances for Torino in Serie A, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists. In the 3-4-2-1 formation, he became one of the key players providing width on the right wing. His ability to cover large areas, long-distance running, and physical endurance brought him into the spotlight. He delivered effective overlapping runs on the right flank and was frequently chosen in transition play.
Singo transferred to AS Monaco on 17 August 2023 for a transfer fee of approximately 9–10 million euros. He signed a five-year contract with the French club valid until 2028. In his first season, he appeared in 25 official matches, and in his second season, this number increased to 35, during which he scored a total of three goals. Throughout this period, he played both as a right wing-back and a right center-back. At Monaco, he was consistently utilized as a right center-back in Adi Hütter’s three-man defensive system. Over his two seasons at the club, he made 52 league appearances.
On 28 August 2025, Singo was transferred to Galatasaray for a fee of approximately 30.8 million euros. The contract includes a 10 percent sell-on clause and stipulates a net annual salary of 4.8 million euros for the player. In addition to the five-year deal, performance-based bonuses of up to approximately five million euros have been included in the agreement.

Singo stands 190 cm tall and weighs approximately 80 kg. A right-footed player, he has been effective in one-on-one defensive situations due to his strong physical build. He possesses the technical and physical attributes to play on the right side of both three-man and four-man defensive lines. During his time at Torino and Monaco, he primarily played as a right wing-back, and a similar role is planned for him at Galatasaray.
Singo’s standout attributes include speed, strength, ball-carrying ability, success in duels, and overlapping runs. His long-distance sprinting capacity has enabled him to play a crucial role in transition play and in moving from defense to attack. During dribbling, he typically drives toward the touchline and advances by exploiting spaces left by opponents. Statistically, his entries into the penalty area with the ball, successful ball-carrying rate, and success in one-on-one challenges have reached high levels.
However, he is evaluated as having room for improvement in his limited use of the left foot, occasional delays in decision-making, and his defensive positional awareness.
At Torino, under Ivan Jurić’s high-tempo pressing system, he was one of the main wide players. At Monaco, he was deployed as a right center-back in Adi Hütter’s three-man defense. At Galatasaray, he is seen as flexible enough to play either as a right-back in a four-man defense or as a right center-back or wing-back in a three-man system. In particular, his ball-carrying ability and physical resilience have provided significant value to teams that emphasize transition play.
