Zevahir

Zevâhir entered Turkish from the Arabic plural form ẓawāhir (ظواهر) of the word ẓāhir (ظاهر). In Arabic, the term ẓāhir means "what is apparent or perceptible from the outside", and its plural form ẓawāhir denotes "things that appear or external appearances".

• Everyday Language: Used to refer only to the outward aspect of something, a superficial appearance that does not reflect its true nature.
• Literature: Preferred to describe the contrast between the inner essence and external appearance of characters, events, or situations.
• Philosophy: Used to emphasize the distinction between reality and appearance, particularly in discussions of being and perception.
• Social Life: Refers to judgments made based solely on the observable aspect of people’s behavior or circumstances.
