Zeytinburnu Stadium

Zeytinburnu Stadium is a stadium located in the Zeytinburnu district of İstanbul and serves as the home venue for Zeytinburnuspor’s home matches football. Opened in 1972 and regularly used since stadium, the stadium also hosted home matches for İstanbulspor starting in 2005.

The stadium has also been used for national holidays and local events.

Capacity and Features

Zeytinburnu Stadium has a capacity of 16,000 spectators and features a compact design compared to traditional football stadiums.

The stadium has a pitch measuring 103 by 68 metres and its key features include:

Structural Features

The stadium is located in Zeytinburnu, one of Istanbul’s most densely populated districts, and offers advantages in terms of urban transportation.

Due to aging infrastructure and deficiencies in its facilities, the stadium is planned for renovation and aims to be redesigned as a modern sports complex. However, this project has not been completed due to legal procedures and disagreements between local authorities.

However, in recent years, active use of the stadium has declined due to renovation projects and legal processes. Ahead of the 2024 local elections, Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy announced that the stadium would be renovated and transformed into a sports complex.
