The Ferhat and Şirin Lovers Museum, constructed in 2013 by the Amasya Municipality, is located along the route known as the “Ferhat Water Channel,” where, according to legend, Ferhat carved through mountains to bring water for his beloved Şirin. This museum holds the distinction of being Türkiye'sfirst and only museum themed entirely around love.

The museum presents love stories found both in Anatolian and global cultures’ oral and written literature. It offers a comprehensive narrative encompassing both earthly (human) and divine love. Exhibits include wax figures, three- and two-dimensional silicone models, reliefs, period-specific decorations, and are accompanied by lighting, scent, and music effects, providing a rich visual and sensory experience.
Organized into nine distinct sections, each dedicated to a different aspect or story of love, the museum’s thematic divisions are: Ferhat and Şirin, Kerem and Aslı, Leyla and Mecnun, Romeo and Juliet, Mimar Sinan and Mihrimah Sultan, Anatolian Lovers, Yavuklu Culture in Anatolia, Divine Love, and Souvenirs. Each room features decor appropriate to its narrative period, combined with silicone models, wax sculptures, special effects, and music.
The visitor route progresses from human love to divine love, reflecting both individual and societal dimensions as well as the spiritual facets of love. Specific scents are diffused in each section to enhance the sensory experience. The museum’s garden contains a symbolic tomb of Ferhat and Şirin, while an interior central space is designed as a wedding hall.

Its narrative structure, progressing from earthly to divine love, aims to provide a holistic representation of love’s worldly and metaphysical dimensions
