Gürleyik Falls

Gürleyik Waterfall is a natural water formation located within the boundaries of Gürleyik Village in the Mihalıççık District of Eskişehir Province, in Türkiye’s Central Anatolia Region. The area holds recreational value at the local level due to its waterfall and surrounding natural environment.

Located approximately 27 kilometers from the Mihalıççık district center and about 180 kilometers from the city center of Eskişehir, Gürleyik Waterfall is accessible by road. Travelers coming from Ankara follow the Beypazarı and Nallıhan routes, then turn onto the road leading to Yunus Emre Türbesi to reach Gürleyik Village.

Characteristics

The waterfall is situated on the Gürleyik Stream. The water sources in the area provide a natural environment favored for activities such as swimming and nature walking. The cleanliness and coolness of the water enhance its appeal to visitors during the summer months. Activities such as making fires and setting up camps around the waterfall are restricted in accordance with decisions made by the relevant administrative authorities. These measures aim to preserve the area’s natural structure.

Gürleyik Waterfall is a popular recreational destination during the summer months for local residents and visitors from neighboring provinces. Visitors can picnic and spend time around the waterfall. Subaşı Waterfall, located nearby, is also an attractive point for nature walks.
