Karaelmas Kemal Köksal Stadium

Karaelmas Kemal Köksal Stadium is a football stadium located in Zonguldak and constructed in 1940. Stadium is named after Kemal Köksal, the first Turkish athlete to throw the javelin beyond 60 metres at the Balkan Games held in 1943. Today, it hosts the home matches of Zonguldak Kömürspor house.

The stadium has a total capacity of 13,795 spectators, with seating arranged in open and covered sections:

• 9,500-seat open stand
• 1,500-seat covered stand
• 1,000-seat away team stand
• 1,000-seat portable covered stand

The stadium also includes an 8-lane earth athletics track place.

The Karaelmas Kemal Köksal Stadium features a natural grass pitch and a standard football field measuring 105 by 68 metres. The stadium is owned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is regarded as one of the largest sports complexes in the region. The red and navy blue colours of Zonguldak Kömürspor have been incorporated into the stadium’s design.

The stadium includes accessible areas for people with disabilities, parking, a market, and various social spaces.

It is considered a sports centre suitable for families and large groups. Thanks to its City location, it offers easy access via public transport and private vehicles close.
