Başak Tractor

Başak Traktör is an industrial enterprise engaged in the production of tractors and agricultural machinery in Türkiye. Established in 1914 in Adapazarı, it has operated under various public institutions over time and later shifted its focus to domestic tractor manufacturing under its own brand. Production is carried out at its facility in the province of Sakarya.

The foundation of Başak Traktör was laid in 1914 in Adapazarı under the name “DA-TA Demir Araba – Tahta Araba Fabrikası.” In 1944, it was incorporated into the Turkish Agricultural Equipment Organization and continued its operations under the name “SAZ (Sakarya Alat-ı Ziraiye).” In 1962, imports of Ford-branded tractors began; in 1968, under a collaboration agreement with Ford, production transitioned to 65% local manufacturing. In 1978, production of STEYR-branded tractors commenced following an agreement with the Austrian company STEYR. Starting in 1996, tractor production began under the “Başak” brand, which has continued to be used since.

In 2012, Başak Traktör was acquired by Sanko Holding and subsequently restructured within the holding group. In 2017, production of tractor models with over 100 horsepower was initiated, and the same year, product diversity in agricultural equipment was expanded with the launch of a new product line under the “Başak Agri” brand.

Başak Traktör conducts its production activities at its facility located in the province of Sakarya. The total area of this plant is 275,000 m², of which 50,000 m² is dedicated to enclosed production space. The facility has an annual production capacity of 30,000 units. Its product range includes garden, field and compact tractors with 2x4 and 4x4 drive systems, as well as various agricultural equipment.

The 5000 series, introduced by Başak Traktör in 2020, is designed with technical features tailored to different agricultural applications. The first model in the series, the 5120, is equipped with electro-hydraulic Powershuttle and Powershift features. This model received an award in the agricultural machinery category at the IF Design Awards competition based in Germany.

• Başak 5120: This model features electro-hydraulic Powershuttle and Powershift systems. With a motor capacity exceeding 100 horsepower, it is technically equipped to meet high-torque demands in agricultural operations and has won a design award in the agricultural machinery category at the IF Design Awards.
• Başak 5105: This model has a power output of 108 horsepower and a torque capacity of 400 Nm. It is equipped with a 24-forward and 24-reverse gear system. Additionally, it offers four different PTO outputs (430, 540, 540E, 1000) and a hydraulic lifting capacity of 3,400 kg.
• Başak 5095: This model delivers 102 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 24-forward and 24-reverse gear system, multiple PTO options, and valve outlets, enabling it to operate with a variety of field equipment.
• Başak 2110 S: This model is classified within the over-100 HP tractor category and is noted for its robust frame design suitable for field operations.
• Başak 2105 S & 2090 S: Both models are equipped with different engine powers and drive systems and belong to the field-type tractor category.
• Başak 2075 BK / BK Cabined / BT: The 2075 series is categorized according to various cab and wheel configurations (BK – wide tires, BT – field type). This model segment falls within the medium-class tractor category.
• Garden Series (2080 BB, 2080 BB Cabined, 2060 BB, 5075 BB): Garden-type tractors are suited for operation in small areas due to their compact dimensions. Both cabined and non-cabined versions are available, configured according to user needs.
• Başak 2055 (Compact Tractor): The 2055 model belongs to the compact tractor category and is designed for operation in confined spaces, considering its size and technical specifications.

• Pneumatic Precision Seed Drill (Double Disc / Tine-Footed): Used for row seeding in various soil structures. The double disc and tine-footed options are selected based on soil tillage requirements.
• Universal Seed Drill (Cultivator-Footed / Tine-Clawed): Multi-purpose seed drills developed for diverse seeding conditions.
• Vertical Forage Mixer: Designed to blend coarse and chopped feed for livestock operations.
• Sprayers (Standard / Lifted): Used for liquid application in agricultural fields. Lifted models provide easier access in tall crop areas.
• Telescopic and Front Loaders: Designed to integrate with tractors for loading, stacking, and material handling tasks.
• Ploughs and Rotavators: Equipment used for soil tillage, aeration, and preparation for seeding. Available in both garden-type and field-type versions.
• Baler: Converts cut grass and stalks into bales.
