Batman Stadium, located in Batman in Türkiye, is a 15,000-seat stadium that opened in 2018.

History

The new Batman Stadium is a modern facility in Batman Province where Batman Petrolspor plays its home matches. Construction began in 2014, but due to various delays, it was completed at the end of 2018 and officially opened. The stadium hosted its first official match between Batman Petrolspor and Tepecikspor and was designed as one of the city’s largest sports complexes.

Constructed to meet the growing population of Batman and strengthen its sports infrastructure, stadium was planned under the national stadium modernization program launched across Türkiye in 2011. However, due to certain financial and structural delays, it did not fully enter service until 2018.

Capacity and Features

As Batman’s largest sports facility, the New Batman Stadium was designed not only for football matches but also to host events in other sports disciplines. The stadium has a total capacity of 15,000 spectators. Built to meet UEFA and FIFA standards, its key features include:

• Digital LED scoreboard
• Advanced lighting system for night matches
• Athletics track and Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool

Structural Features

The stadium is located near the city center on the southern outer ring road. Built at a cost of approximately 100 million Turkish Lira, the New Batman Stadium is situated on a 12-hectare site and includes not only a football pitch but also additional sports facilities.

It contains one Olympic-sized swimming pool, a small athletics stadium, training fields, changing rooms and rest areas for players.

The architectural design of the stadium is simplified and functional, constructed at low cost while meeting FIFA and UEFA standards.

Facilities and Amenities

The New Batman Stadium includes all the following amenities required in modern football stadiums.

• Accessible stands and entrances for people with disabilities
• Large parking area
• Cafeterias, restaurants and commercial spaces
• VIP stands and press box

Thanks to its single-tier seating arrangement, the stadium offers excellent sightlines for spectators and was constructed with a covered roof to provide protection from the sun.

Visits and Events

The New Batman Stadium does not only host matches of Batman Petrolspor but is also used for local sports events, concerts and national tournaments. Batman Petrolspor, founded in 1960, plays its home matches at this stadium. The club’s colors are red, white and black.

Thanks to the facilities it offers, the stadium aims to promote sports tourism in Batman and host larger events in the future.
