In this environment that seems like a fragment of paradise, İskender is tested in his pursuit of love, family, and self-discovery, while the villagers themselves struggle with their own personal burdens and secrets, adding depth to the narrative.

Cast and Characters

• İsmail Hacıoğlu (İskender): This individual, raised under harsh conditions in the underworld, carries intense anger and a relentless pursuit of justice as the only legacy left by life. Yet beneath this hardened exterior, his most fundamental desire is to have a warm and peaceful family life.
• Zafer Algöz (Şeref): Portrays Şeref, a newcomer to the village who rises to power but gradually surrenders his initial good intentions to greed.
• Ali Seçkiner Alıcı (Sarı Kazım / Sarı Dayı): Presented as a feared figure who extorts protection money and seizes the property of the weak.
• Evliya Aykan (Oltacı Bayram): Bayram embodies the village’s hope and diligence. His deep connection to the sea and cheerful nature represent the positive and resilient face of Arafköy; he continues his life by staying close to the sea despite the loss of his father.
• Özgü Kaya (Gönül): A doctor deeply connected to the community, always seeking remedies for everyone’s troubles.

The depiction of the “warm” Aegean village and the integration of natural elements such as the sea and storms suggest a naturalistic and pastoral cinematographic style.
