Derbent bean is a green bean grown within the geographical border of the Derbent district in the Konya province. The geographical indication, in the type of designation of origin, was registered on 30.11.2021. The seeds for the product are supplied only from Derbent beans grown within the geographical border. The region's high altitude (1440-1520 meters) and the resulting high day-night temperature difference extend the plant's vegetation period, contributing to its late maturation.
