Eryaman Stadium

History

Eryaman Stadium is one of the largest and most modern stadiums in Ankara, located in the Eryaman district on a place area. Awarded to Ankara by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2019, the stadium has a capacity of 22,000 spectators and is home to MKE Ankaragücü and Gençlerbirliği Sports Clubs. Eryaman, developing significantly as a region hub, has become one of the city’s most prominent stadium centers. The stadium officially opened on 28 January 2019 with a match between Ankaragücü and Alanyaspor.

Capacity and Features

Eryaman Stadium was constructed on a 62,255 m² site and has a total capacity of 22,000 spectators. Designed in the maroon and navy colors of MKE Ankaragücü and the red and black colors of Gençlerbirliği, the stadium features a 734-vehicle parking lot, 51 private boxes and 221 press tribunes equipped with modern facilities. Additionally, the stadium is built with a hybrid grass system, ensuring high quality for both football matches and other events.

Structural Features

Eryaman Stadium is a four-story structure with additional usage areas beneath the eastern ring open plaza and connected to the foyer via parking areas on the west. The stadium is elevated 22 meters toward the west, with a total construction area exceeding 37,700 m². Leveraging the topography, architects designed an integrated plaza and planned the stadium entrances with wide staircases to enhance accessibility and integration with the surrounding environment.

Facilities and Amenities

The stadium includes a 734-vehicle parking lot, 51 private boxes and 221 press tribunes. Furthermore, the stadium’s expansive foyer and environment layout have been designed to provide spectators with a comfortable experience. Eryaman Stadium also features modern technological infrastructure such as high-speed internet connectivity and digital screens.

Visits and Events

Eryaman Stadium primarily hosts football matches and serves as the home ground for MKE Ankaragücü and Gençlerbirliği teams. Outside match days, the stadium also accommodates various events and concerts. With its large parking capacity and convenient transportation access, it offers visitors a comfortable and accessible experience.
