Fatih Arda İpçioğlu is a Turkish national ski jumping athlete. He has entered sports history as the first Turkish athlete to represent Türkiye in ski jumping at the Winter Olympic Games and World Cup level, earning points and reaching the final stage in these competitions.
İpçioğlu was born on 28 September 1997 in Erzurum. His childhood was closely intertwined with winter sports due to the geographical characteristics of Erzurum. He began ski jumping at the age of five, initially competing in the alpine discipline. During this period, he completed basic ski training and participated in local competitions.

The pivotal moment in İpçioğlu’s professional sporting career came with the activation of the ski jumping towers built in Erzurum ahead of the 25th Winter Universiade held in 2010. At the age of 11, he switched from alpine skiing to ski jumping, a discipline that was just beginning to develop in Türkiye. During his youth, he joined the first ski jumping teams established under the Turkish Ski Federation and began receiving technical training to international standards.
İpçioğlu has integrated his academic career with his sporting life. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Erzurum Atatürk University. Following his bachelor’s degree, he began his master’s program at the same university’s Institute of Winter Sports, focusing his academic work on expertise in winter sports.
