

Kaan Ayhan was born on 10 November 1994 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Ayhan, who has played for the Türkiye national football team, operates as a defender.
Ayhan began his football career in 1999 with the youth academy of Schalke 04. He played for various youth teams within the club for many years and made his professional debut in 2013 with Schalke 04 II. Later that same year, he was promoted to the first team and began playing in the Bundesliga.
In 2016, Ayhan was transferred on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. After a brief stint there, he returned to Schalke 04. Later that year, he moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he played until 2020. During this period, he contributed to the team’s victory in the 2. Bundesliga championship.
In 2020, Ayhan transferred to Sassuolo, a club in Serie A. After three seasons in Italy, he joined Galatasaray on loan in 2023. Later that year, his transfer was made permanent and he became a member of Galatasaray’s squad.
Ayhan won the Süper Lig titles with Galatasaray in the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons, and also won the Türkiye Süper Kupa in 2023.
Ayhan played for both Germany and Türkiye youth national teams before making his debut for the Türkiye senior national team in 2016. He has represented Türkiye in numerous international matches.
